Learning what is involved in drawing boxes, and how it relates to your cartoon characters. Along with the introduction of ellipses and spheres, and how to create them.
Explains the importance of how all cartoon characters are made up from 2 forms, spheres and cylinders. By understanding this, comprehension of anatomy will begin to make sense. Going over the 4 parts of anatomy, a greater knowledge of how to pose your character will follow. This will include 1. The Head, 2. The Torso (chest & hips), 3. Arms & Legs, and 4. The Hands & Feet.
The goal of this course is to take the knowledge learned in Level 1 and 2, and create their own cartoon characters and model sheets. This includes posing the character and learning what it means to draw “on model”. Several sessions will be used with established characters for practice, and learn how to pose them.
